Send your first alert
VectorData aims for one alert per root cause. Confirm the delivery path works with a test ping, then rely on freshness/dbt/cost signals.
Steps
1. Add a destination
Configure email (always available) and Slack when your plan/routing supports it.
2. Send a test
Use the in-app test control or POST /api/alerts/test when authenticated for your workspace.
3. Walk the demo incident
Open /app and follow the broken-run scenario so you know what a real Fix-first item looks like.
Verify
- Test alert arrives in the expected channel
- Demo incident is visible in Watchdog
- You can mute or acknowledge without losing history
